At Sangrock Youth Empowerment Initiative, our mission is to promote greater opportunities for the youth of Barapur, Etah, Uttar Pradesh in India. With access to the right resources, these villagers can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. With a strong foundation of knowledge and training, these youth will be empowered to live a life beyond their current limitations.

We look to achieve our mission by adopting the government village school and advocating for its good. We look to shoulder the responsibility of ensuring students are taught the skills they need, including language and computer literacy.

We have established an education center where we will offer workshops on navigating higher education. We will also offer scholarships to aid in those goals.

Through added curricula, including trade skills and Tae Kwon Do, we will give the students the opportunity to better themselves and find empowerment in that knowledge.

With these efforts we hope to nurture this generation of students to become leaders in their communities through the pursuit of entrepreneurship and higher education.

 

We will also bring awareness and change to the villages themselves by ardently advocating the government to develop systems for sewer and clean water, bring electricity to the village, and create roadways. These are things we cannot do ourselves but we can come alongside these villagers and add the volume of our voice to theirs in order to bring change.
