This summer we are involved with two different summer camps. In a neighboring village there is a summer camp being held at a private school. We have sent some of our 2nd degree black belt students as counselors for that summer camp. This is a benefit to both the camp at that school as they have the assistance of our incredible black belts and it is also a benefit to those black belts as they will gain experience with summer camps as they look to become teachers and counselors in their own village.
Speaking of Barapur, we are holding a summer camp as well! The children have been enjoying music, art, games, and learning. Ms. Shikha and the black belt students assisting her have been doing an amazing job. The children are thrilled with the experience (and their new orange shirts!) and are excited for each new day. This is again an opportunity for us to continue developing relationships and trust within the village and with the children, many of whom will be students at the village school this fall!
